The colour blue refers naturally also to Murnau as place of birth of the "blue rider", the 1911 created group of artists of the same name.

The BLUE COUNTRY documents an inheritance, of whom Murnau is proud. It opens an inestimable advantage with the marketing of a vacation region, in which nature, art and culture a connection unmistakable in this form are received. The combination of nature and culture leads away from the exchangeable one, the "product blue country" receives a still more differentiated profile.

Made with a "museum route" art-interested beside the lock museum and Muenterhaus also on surrounding museums the topic attentive.
